
Heba ElSayed, CFNC
Heba is a highly experienced professional with over 16 years in academic research, writing, and editing in the social sciences. She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and has held Post-Doctoral positions at the University of Oxford and Manchester University, managing projects on media consumption, gender identity, and social development among young people.
Throughout her academic career, Heba has excelled in grant writing, securing funding from prestigious organizations such as the AHRC, Leverhulme Trust, and the British Academy. Her diverse portfolio includes publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to Egyptian-English language publications. She has also served as an assistant to the Ambassador/Deputy Ambassador at the British Embassy in Cairo.
Heba has founded her own successful business Words2Thoughts, providing writing and proofreading services. Notably, she contributed to the drafting of the 2022 annual report for SDIP, a platform hosted by the World Economic Forum, supported by the European Commission, and focused on promoting UN Sustainable Development Goals in developing countries and emerging markets.
Despite her successful career in academia and writing consultancy, Heba’s interest in health deepened after a traumatic childbirth experience. Overcoming a catastrophic hemorrhage, she made a remarkable recovery, sparking her passion for understanding the human body.
Heba holds certifications as a level one Precision Nutrition coach and a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor. Board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and an affiliate member of the UK & International Health Coaching Association, Heba focuses on personalized nutrition and lifestyle approaches, emphasizing that health and wellbeing exist on a continuum.
Heba resides in Reading, UK, with her husband and two daughters, embodying her belief that taking care of the body is an investment in future wellbeing.
