Meet Our Unique Experts!
After 13 years of rigorous clinical oncology practice at the leading cancer treatment center in Egypt and in collaboration with Institute Gustave Roussy in Paris, Dr. Wafaa decided to establish AWARE clinic, the first-ever foundation for Functional Medicine Awareness & Prevention in the Middle East and Africa, back in April of 2014 where she acts as CEO of the clinic.
Pursuing her new career and passion in Functional Medicine in collaboration with The Institute for Functional Medicine, IFM, USA, She works with her patients to encourage positive lifestyle modifications, as she is a firm believer in following reliable methodologies and individualized protocols. Each patient’s circumstances are uniquely different and should be treated specifically to meet their own needs.
Throughout her career and academic inquiries, she has intimately analyzed the metabolic approach to cancer with Dr. Nasha Winters, ND, FABNO, which has allowed her to apply metabolic methods to treat various diseases effectively in addition to cancer.
Dr. Wafaa is the first certified Functional Medicine Doctor in Egypt and the Middle East. She is also a certified international health coach from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, IIN, USA, which empowers her to closely establish the confidence and empathy needed to work with her patients.
In the future, Dr. Wafaa hopes to expand the accessibility of Functional Medicine in Egypt and the Middle East to provide world-class treatment options and education to the region and around the world. Dr. Wafaa anticipates a future where chronic disease epidemics, including cancer, are alleviated in the global population and is excited to participate in the medical advancements made in her medical field every day.

Dr. Daniel Rieders is a board-certified cardiologist and integrative medicine expert, with a passion for moving his patients from illness to vibrant health. Over the last decade, he has transformed his conventional practice with advanced training in functional medicine, integrative medicine, mindfulness-based approaches, and energy medicine.
Dr. Rieders has a degree from UC Santa Barbara in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and received his medical degree from University of Southern California. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at USC and then his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at the UCLA-VA Medical Center. He has practiced for over 30 years in both private clinics and larger hospital settings. While in Los Angeles, he was a faculty member and leader for USC Cardiology.
A decade ago, Dr. Rieders entered into a journey to transform his own physical health and became inspired to seek different approaches to medical care. He explored healing in six different aspects of health: physical, mental, spiritual, financial, interpersonal, and emotional. After completing a life-changing detoxification program, he realized he needed to bring his deep insight to his own practice honoring the connection between the mental, physical and spiritual bodies in collaboration with other healers.
Dr. Rieders begins the healing process by establishing a relationship with each patient, partnering with them to develop solutions that enable them to heal at the deepest levels and regain their physical and spiritual well-being.
Dr Levin’s ultimate intention is to merge scientific, modern-day medicine with the ancient wisdom traditions to contribute to the creation of a vibrant new paradigm of health and wellness. By raising consciousness on multiple levels, and weaving the interconnectedness of all, we rewrite the old story of “fixing what is broken” to meeting and celebrating what has always been whole.
Having completed a medical residency in 2010, She joined the medical staff at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Nowadays, she operates a telemedicine consultation practice in the San Francisco Bay Area and works with patients worldwide. She continues her postdoctoral work with the Institute of Functional Medicine and Dr. Nasha Winters and the Metabolic Approach to Cancer Mastermind.
To balance her scientific approach to natural medicine, She is a facilitator of Compassionate Inquiry (an approach developed by Dr. Gabor Mate) and trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy, HeartMath, and several forms of Breathwork. These methods help us to return to our wholeness and process what is unresolved within us. Disease may take root in many levels, mental, emotional, and physical. To restore health, she uses a multidisciplinary and truly integrative approach that discovers and treats the root cause of illness.
On a personal level, She has a meditation practice and believes it’s important to keep diving into her own inner work and training so that she can help others with integrity and heart.
Fluent in both English and Turkish, since founding Chemothermia with Assistant Professor İyikesici and Professor Berkarda he has worked with them on the development and application of conventional as well as innovative treatment modalities for oncology and has particular responsibility for the clinic’s international patients.

Growing up I was especially close to my grandmother. My favorite time of the year was spring when we tilled the soil and prepared it for planting. When I look back, I see her influence weaved throughout my life. The most valuable gift she imparted was her wisdom of working with the earth. She understood the importance of fertile soil and knew how to enrich it so that it produced good and sweet fruit. After leaving the comforts of home, my early adult years were full of struggles, addictions and death of family members. Through it all my grandmother’s influence pulled me through and taught me unconditional love. I wanted to share this with other people, which lead me to the next phase in my journey.
Thinking that ministry was my calling in life, I attended Notre Dame Seminary in Louisiana, where I was ordained. After a year of parish work, I was given the opportunity to further my education and received a Masters degree in Spirituality and spiritual direction from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. The instructors that I resonated with were spiritual directors who also practiced some form of physical medicine. I was introduced to cranio-sacral, massage therapy and herbal medicine. With the exposure to herbal medicine, I once again realized the importance of the soil.
Eventually, I recognized that in order to help people in the way I had envisioned, I would need to step out of ordained ministry and pursue medicine. My grandmother’s teachings about the foundations of life were like a gentle muse leading me on to new fields. The calling to medicine led me to the great North West where I attended Bastyr University and received a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. I have since studied in Switzerland at Paracelsus Klinik under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Rau. Before coming into my own practice, I was an associate and mentee of Dr. Paul Anderson, a well-known physician in the North West who works with oncology and chronic disease. Since coming into my own practice, I have been privileged to work under the guidance of Dr. Nasha Winters, ND, LAc, FABNO who has enriched my sense of terrain centric medicine.
What I discovered to be my passion all along was working with a person’s terrain, the foundation of their health, their “soil,” so to speak. I honor my patients’ uniqueness because that is how I approach their treatments, with individualized personal care.
This is my opportunity to share my story in the hopes that you will gather a glimpse of who I am. Each one of us has a unique personal story of where we grew up, what the people are like in our native land, and how we have evolved to who we are presently. I am excited and passionate to hear your story.
In 1996 Dr. Henning Saupe also received his Swedish license to practice medicine and worked for 10 years in Stockholm as a general practitioner with an interest in naturopathy, anthroposophic medicine and holistic cancer therapy. From 1997 to 2006 he served as a board member in the Swedish Association of Anthroposophic Physicians (LAOM). In January 2005 he founded and opened the "Arcadia Clinic" in Stockholm, the first hyperthermia clinic in Sweden specializing in oncological hyperthermia.
In 2006, he founded the Arcadia practice in Kassel which he expanded in 2009 to include additional therapies. In June 2014, he opened the new Arcadia Clinic in Bad Emstal, Germany where he serves as Medical Director.
Based on his extensive direct experience of treating patients for over 25 years and from more than fifty countries who have come to receive his care, he has developed a model that tangibly strengthens the life and self-healing forces, while also counteracting pain and loss of joy in life. In this way, he places the infinitely differentiated network of forces of a human being at the center of his explanations, because protecting this is a deep concern of his. "To achieve the coherence of the forces, to awaken the self-regulation of the immune system, that is the mission in every phase of life- to be satisfied and healthy," is his conviction.
